Apple continues to prove just how far it can push the boundaries of phone cameras. The company announced that the music video for the new song “Method,” by rising Japanese band Kroi, was shot entirely with iPhone 16 Pro cameras. The most striking aspect of the project was the number of phones used and the shooting technique.
Simultaneous Recording from Every Angle with the iPhone 16 Pro
The video was directed by renowned Japanese director Taiichi Kimura, whose work has previously been featured on Apple Music. During the shoot, 40 iPhone 16 Pros simultaneously recorded the band’s performance in the studio from every angle. In post-production, these 40 different shots were seamlessly combined into a stunning three-minute music video that captures the band’s dynamism and energy.
This project is the latest installment in Apple’s “Shot on iPhone” series, which aims to showcase the high-quality professional film, video, and even TV shows that can be shot on iPhone.
The project’s success has also caught the attention of Apple’s top executives. Apple’s Chief Marketing Officer, Greg Joswiak, shared the video on his personal X account, saying, “Look what 40 iPhone 16 Pros can achieve in this video clip for the incredibly talented KroiOfficial’s track ‘Method’!”
This project stands out as a powerful marketing move showcasing the 16 Pro’s video capabilities, particularly its multi-camera sync and compatibility with professional post-production workflows.
